  • If the front end can be converted...

...Can the dash be converted too?

I always thought the entire dash on the 93-97 camaro looked cooler than the 98-02. There's soooo much difference between the two, tho, that it makes me wonder if it's even possible.

    Anybody ever tried that?

just to clarify, you are thinking of the 93-96 dash, 97+ have the new one. ;) Some people have switched the center consoles that I know of. I am not sure if anyone swapped the whole dash.

The '97 is the perfect car :P

The upgraded dash, but the awesomeness of the original 4th gen headlight assembly... The power of the 3.8 V6... and the shnazz of the 30th anniversary edition :P.

It is my favorite year :). I will be getting a replacement one soon :)

I always liked the 93-96 dash also. I can't help you on if it's easy. I'm sure it's possible, because it's virtually the same car, and I once saw an 80s camaro with the 97-02 dash. So i'm not sure how much fabrication would be required, but i'm sure you could do it. I bought a 96 for the dash and plan on doing a front end conversion to the new.

I agree that the 93-96 looks better, but the 97+ is much sturdier... as far as the center console, I don't know about the rest of the dash. It's the one thing that always annoyed me about my car, I lean on my console in between shifts and while cruising and it moves all over the place.
Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
              Custom interior...

Would you necessarily have to change the center console?

I don't think so, because If you can put a new console in an older car, than I would imagine it's all interchangeable.

At the end of Part Three, we changed the valvetrain of the 3.8-liter V6 in the Tom Henry RS. We installed new, Yella Terra "Ultralite" 1.8:1, aluminum roller rocker arms, Katech valve springs and Katech titanium retainers on our 3800 Series II V6.
Ultralites are nearly 25% lighter than the stock 1.6 rockers and 8% lighter than the SLP aluminum...
