However, I won an auction for a full set of leather seats off a 98 Camaro on eBay for under 220 bucks, which struck me as quite a good deal, especially as I can pick them up. The only problem is that I was looking for black and these are dark tan...do you think they'll look alright or should I look into dyeing them? I guess I'll know once I get them, but feel free to throw your two cents in...thanks again. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

WOW you have no idea how good of a deal you got.
Usually a set of leather seats with power driver seat runs around $500.
    Good bargain hunting dude.

My taste would be towards getting rid of the red bow ties and the red vents in the hood. But, that's really a minor thing. Plus, it's not my car. If you like them when you pick it up, by all means leave them on. Looks like you got a good deal on a good car. Congrats.

Ok so I picked up the car and god I love it, blows away my buddy's '99 Mustang 3.8L in every department. Wow, the Quasar Blue really looks different in person...for starters I sprayed the hood vents black and took off the bowtie emblems like you guys said and it definitely looks quite a bit better. I think for now, I'll keep the red inserts on the front and back and the painted calipers/drums. Do you guys think the 30th anniv stripes in black would look good?

I have a couple questions, do you know where I could get the replacement door panel in dark tan leather like matt3989 said? I suppose I can see if an upholstery shop around here has some that I can wrap the old ones in.

And I need new logos for the sides, do they make any 30th anniversary badges that I could put there? If not I can prolly find some just Camaro ones. Thanks, guys.

the door panels on that year model are a pita to mess with...unless you are talking about the ENTIRE panel. if you are just wanting to replace the cloth parts of the panels, then i would seriously consider taking it to an uhpolstery shop to do it cause it is insane how GM put those things together and its really hard to make them look like they belong after they've been removed. i tried it earlier this month then decided to just give it up to an uhpolsterer who knows what he is doing.

about the badges...you can get vinyl ones here: http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm. he's got all kinds of other stuff as well.

and i would personnaly love to see some white on that thing. i love the blue/white combo...its such a classic look. but black would be very subtle...prolly not too bad. if you wanna go that route have you thought about a deep metallic blue or navy type color...it would kinda give off a ghost effect. may look bad a**...just my $.02. do whatever it is that you think looks god and make it your own...thats what its all about.
