97+ Center Counsil in '93-'96 Z28????

I've been thinking of doing this if it's a possible swap. i was looking at my '96 Z28's counsil and i'd love to have the newer center then the ugly rattling older one. i'd think you'd have to modify it a little to get it to fit under the stereo peice but i was curious what you guys thought. I remember seeing a write-up for thiis, I don't think it was on this site though, try doing a search on google or something. I'm positive I've seen it done though, b/c the newer consoles are sturdier than the 93-96

I bought a 99 console a few years back and I was about to do this mod until I saw that huge gap under the radio after it was done...yuk!

i got a 02 console in mine...all u had to do was make a whole a lil bigger and it fit right in

i have one in my garage, i ordered like 3 of them, and put the best parts from each all in one then put it in my 94 wehn i had it...... they can go for up to 100+ on ebay... if u want, pay me like 30 bux for shipping , and il mai what i got to you, its just sitting in the garage...... email me at hommermack@aol.com if u are interested
