i'm finally getting around to buying a filler plate, the one i am buying is scratched up, i want to know if i can paint it myself and make it match without a spray gun or anything like that, is there any spray paint that will match? what is the best way for going at this? my car is black and the plate is black too

    Re: filler plate

Are you painting it because of the scratches or because you want it to match your paint? If it's the scratches try polishing them out first.

yea you can clean it up and paint it. get some fine grit sand paper and smooth it out nice and then hit is with some primer and paint. I did it with my buddies 98 grand prix front license plate filler before and it is holding up fine
