high beams aint werkin

OK, so Im driving last night and i goto click over to the hi's, and i pulled the rod, and it wouldnt change to the hi's. no clicking sound or nothing. so i'm sure it's a wornout spring or a stuck lever or somthing...anyone else have this problem? have a cure?

that happened on my 94, ordered a whole lever assembly thing off ebay. plugged it up and it worked... make sure u get the right one, i cant remember what year, but they cahnged the connector some year, yet the levers were the exact same.....
