I just did the fake hid conversion finally to my brights since i liked the results of the low beams. I had to take off my headlight covers for it and i will leave them off until the silicone is dry. It made me realize how much better the car looks with them than without..

i know what your talking about, but i was thinking he did something else...
thats easy enough.
but you can also replace the headlights with foglights, and they turn out pretty bright
Mine actually aren't clear. They are the carbon fiber ones. In the right light they look smoked, but in the picture they are more clear. IMO they are the perfect cover because they are dark enough to make the headlights look almost blacked out in certain light, and better in all lighting, and they don't affect nightime visibility. I just replaced teh bulb with silverstars.
With the stock headlights, even these covers make it hard to see, but with the silverstars it's fine.
I also put silverstars in my foglights which helps out quite a bit. Like i said my lenses are carbon fiber, sort of a circled checkerboard look when you look at them closely, so they do take out some light at night, but the silverstars in the foglights really make up for it.
sorry i think i was mixing up my headlights with my foglights. I meant i put some off brand..EuroDesign i think, 8500K blue bulbs in the foglights, but from the front, they look the same color if not a little better than my headlights, and make up for the headlight covers.
i'll try to get a picture of them, i'm not sure how well it will turn out. If you look at them right, there is a blue tint, otherwise it looks just super white, i'm not sure if the blue tint will show in the picture though i'll find out.
I finally got mine put on. Theyve been sitting in the box since I got the car, because I was told "With the 3.4 the air is sucked up from the headlight area"
I figured, to heck with it, if it runs hot, I take the covers out. Sure, it ran 10-25 degrees hotter, but it still doesnt go over 100F
Maybe Ill say and convince myself "A CAI is required :P"
So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
