ahhh just so everyone knows, i'm not worried about air etc. it works. it sounds good. and that is all that i cared about. it is mainly for looks. but it works tooo. i don't want something that is going to pound me into the ground. this is enough for me

Awww and I wanted to take the 18" Solo X out of my friends car and put it in your baby, and give it like 2400 watts rms... Figured you would enjoy that...
no need for separate box... you're probably not getting everything out of the sub that you could be, but you don't need everything, so it's a good install. Goes along with the rest of the car, clean and well done.

I've heard a vent always helps a sub in a big enclosure like that, but i dont know too much about audio so its just an idea.
Vents actually if not done correctly can and will completely destroy your sound. Someone who is not expirienced in building boxes, should not attempt to port or vent thier box.
The general rule is vented and ported boxes are larger for the same subwoofer than the sealed boxes though if thats what you were thinking.
