    you can take it off with paint thinner, i believe. The light shines through perfectly fine. I don't know about North Carolina laws, check online.

      Yeah, I have seen this look on a firebird similar to mine and it looked really nice. I saw it on a pure black firehawk where he tinted his side markers as well as his tail lights; the whole car looked like tinted glass, it was awesome!
