I tried, and I guess... Did pretty good, haha (The rear was already done, a 5% purple Id guess) but I tried the sides myself, and I got long bubbles around the front curve, and the rear end.
From what I hear, I guess I did pretty good :P
Heck, my tint cost me $40 alone, wish I could get it installed for $60
