Word to the wise for those of you who might be using the Novus 3 step polish, which is widely regarded as the most effective. When using steps three through one (which is the order you're supposed to go in), push as hard as you can. I discovered it can make the difference between crystal clear and foggy. Put as much beef behind it as possible. Headlights came out looking pretty damned good considering their age.
Oh, also. After every step, I whiped the lamps off with a water-soaked cloth, and discovered that this lent to the lens fogging up for some reason. So don't rinse the lamp between steps. Just use the polishing cloths (available from Autozone) until all the polish has been removed sufficient to apply the next step.
I'd post pics if I had them and/or knew how to post them.
