I am currently awaiting to recieve 110MPH REVERSE EL GLOW GAUGES. I am not going to recieve any instructions with them. I have done some searches on installation instructions and I was wondering what is the estimated installation time for installing these and do I need to remove the bulbs from the OEM gauge cluster? I have found some instructions, but I feel that the instructions sound too easy with the exception of trying to slide the new gauges into place without removing the needles.

approx install for newb: 30-45 minutes being very careful with everything...
1. remove A pillars and upper dash pad( be VERY VERY careful with the upper dash pad it WILL break really easy, mine did)
2. remove dash part below steering wheel(only 2 screws)
3. remove part of dash that holds the radio
4. remove part of dash around guage cluster
5. unscrew clear plastic cover off of gauge cluster
6. thread the needles through the holes BEING CAREFUL NOT TO BREAK THEM.. and super glue the overlays in place
7. wire it up and reassemble dash (NO NEED TO REMOVE THE BULBS) -

Its more like remove the bezel infront of the cluster, remove cluster. There is absolutly no need to remove the a pillars, dash pad, or steering coulmn trim maybe he has an older camaro which Im unfamiliar with.Last edited by BLLDOGG; 09-13-2006, 11:19 PM.Comment

Were you out of your mind? I just finished installing my gauges and I did not have to remove any dash pads or A pillars. I simply popped the part fo the dash around the clusters off, then I undid the four screws holding in the gauge cluster and I popped them out. Then I removed the screws to the clear plastic, slid the gauges on over the needles without removing them. The hardest part was sliding the gauges on and my brother in law helped me with that by acting as an extra pair of hands to hold the needles on. I then wired into the factory switch and hooked them all together. The only thing I was unable to do was to get the outlines to line up with security, low trac, and other lights on the dash. So when my security or check engine soon light comes it is unaligned. I didn't feel like messing with it but all turned out well.Originally posted by Chevy16Comment
