Suggestions for appearance..

I feel like I'm thread whoring since i keep starting new threads about the same general thing, so i decided to sum it up with a better title that's open to more and start a new topic.




i have plenty of other pictures of my car in other threads, if you want me to repost them in here for more angles and such i will..

Alright so here's the deal..a friend of mine told me about a place that has chrome cragar rims: 16x8 up front, 16x10 in back. He said they were selling for $50 a rim. I think, wow, great deal. Still, they are only 16s. but, they are better than salad shooters no question.

First off i would like to ask if at least my front tires from my stock rims would fit for sure on the cragars, i believe the stock ones are 16x8.5 right? As for the back tires, they have used tires there too that i might be able to get for cheap.

The main question though is if it would actually look good on my car. I mean, 16s aren't that big. My dream is to have C6s, and cragars is a whole different look. More muscley than classy. For my particular car, i'm not sure which would really look better.

What do you guys think?

Also, i want to nightshade my sidemarkers and was wondering where i could find/how much smoothlocks cost, and if they actually take away from the functionality of the locks, thought it's not a big deal if they do since i have keyless entry.

Open to any other suggestions. annd---i know i need tint, it will come eventually.

Another question:

about nightshades, i was thinking about doing the red part of my tail light and possibly my third tail light too.. My question is though, how many coats would it take to make the lense look actually black, or dark enough to really look good?

Would this take away from the functionality of the reflector? Would the lights light up considerably dimmer?

You just have to make the decision about the niteshade coats yourself, i'd say 5 would be plenty dark. Will they reflect anymore? No. Will the lights light up still? Yes, mine are easily visible

how many coats do you have on yours? do you have any pics with the lights on/off?

I did 3 coats of nightshades to my clearcorners, and they came out really nice. But, since your lights a re red, it may take a few more. Just get the paint, and give the lights a couple coats. If they're not dark enough, give them some more. As for the smooth locks, I think it's $20 for the F-body set (come with 2 for the doors, and one for the hatch). They cover up the lock, so you have to use keyless entry to get in, or peel them off to get in. And I personally think Cragar wheels would look awesome on your car. Where is it that's selling them for so cheap? And I do think your front tires will fit on the new rims. If you want C6's that badly, then wait. When people complain about your current ones, say you're saving for C6's.

It's a place called OK! tires. The rims are used, so that's why they are so cheap. But for $50 each that's a huge appearance difference, I don't have even that kind of money now, but that will for sure take less time to save for than C6s..

Actually, it's stock paint. I was impressed with the quality of the paint job. My dad has a black lincoln LS, and i noticed more orange peel on his paint job than on mine. I guess GM does everything better.

My dad did however get a car painted a few months ago, and got a good deal on it, the place was called granno auto. I coudln't tell you how much it would cost though, sicne it was a lot bigger car than a camaro, and it also included a ton of body work. The paint on it looks absolutely perfect though, it's show quality.

How do you think cragars would look on the car? Chrome 16x10 in back, 16x8 up front.

What i've been doing to the car, i've been trying to go for more of a "classy" look, and C6s would really complete that, but the cragars are a whole ton cheaper, so i wonder how that type of "muscley" looking rim would look on my car with what i have done already.
