  • 4th gen Pontiac hood, custom design

    Greetings from Finland!

Notice! Im not selling anything yet, just getting opinions and ideas...

Im making myself a list of people who would like a hood like mine for their 4th. gen. Firebird/Trans Am.
Im planning to make mould, and manufacture few fiberglass hoods of it. I live in Finland as you may already
know and i wont sell my own design-hood in Finland because i want it to be "unique" over here :).

Price... Hmmm... it depends how you want your hood (Ready for paint or straight out of mould :) )
So how would you like yours?
I think price scale will be around 800-1300 USD

But if YOU want yourself one of a kind UNIQUE hood, that NO ONE has i will sell my own hood without making
any copies out of it, but price is very high! You can make me an offer or ask me about the hood via email:

    predatorhood@luukku.com

Hood itself has working heat extractor vents and scoops.
    Some pics of it:

The Mecham hood looks like it's based off the Firehawk hood.

This hood looks like it's based off the WS6 hood.

Ive seen you post on other f-body sites, its a nice custom. Looks alot like a TVR. Very Nice. Definately not rice.

My opinion, the hood doesnt match with anything we have in the states, i dont think too many people would be interested.

well as long as you like it, thats all that matters and nice work.

personally i think the hood does follow the same basic design as the mecham just a bit more agreesive and all square like. overall i think the hoods ok.

i just think the hood draws too much attention on that FIREBIRD, the ram air hood or raptor hood doesn't take away from the rest of the car. the best about the bird is like a women, the curves.

I didnt post these pics to get comments about the car ;)
Hood sure looks like that "mecham" hood but still i made it little
different and smoother for my taste. Model was made out of
urethane foam, i didn't use any aftermarket hoods in it.

Believe me that many MANY people like that hood and there is even more
people who would like to have it on their own bird, so be happy for these
people bcause now they have one more choice when it comes to hood designs.

Regardless of whether people like it or not, there is a lot of work put into that. NICE JOB! Out of curiosity, how long did it take you to complete it?
