Re: I done cut off my roof.

Wow, looks great. I have a question though. Did I miss some pics, or is the t-tops framework already a part of the solid roof cars?

What I mean is did you have to weld in the t-tops framework, or is it already there?

why would he have to get subframes?

there is no need for them. his car isn't any weaker. you forget that hard tops have the same frame as t tops. and our cars are build for t tops. a hard top can be a bonus. so he is fine

I didn't have to weld anything. However, the pics do not show the two bars I cut that ran from the sides of the windshield to the B pillars.

I'm glad you posted this up. I had been thinking of redoing my headliner, since it's coming down, and now I think I might just have to research this a little more, and maybe do the T-Top instead. Thanks.

you need the t-tops headliner, center peice (on the outside of the car ), t-top weather stripping, and i cant think of anything else off the top of my head.

me and kyle did it to his car, its not as hard as you think. if i got the parts for free or real cheap i'd have already done mine. its a 3 day project with simple hand tools, sawzall ,hammer ,vise grips, dremel is nice to have, and thats about it.

Will I need the t-top A pilar plastic? Where do the T-top locks go into, or is that part of the headliner?

i cant think straight right now, so so now just read this http://members.fortunecity.com/gripe...onversion.html its a great walk through and should answer your questions.

the locks are part of the t-top, it goes into the bar you cut off, so i would think you'd need the t-top a pillar.
