there is no need for them. his car isn't any weaker. you forget that hard tops have the same frame as t tops. and our cars are build for t tops. a hard top can be a bonus. so he is fine
I'm glad you posted this up. I had been thinking of redoing my headliner, since it's coming down, and now I think I might just have to research this a little more, and maybe do the T-Top instead. Thanks.

you need the t-tops headliner, center peice (on the outside of the car ), t-top weather stripping, and i cant think of anything else off the top of my head.
me and kyle did it to his car, its not as hard as you think. if i got the parts for free or real cheap i'd have already done mine. its a 3 day project with simple hand tools, sawzall ,hammer ,vise grips, dremel is nice to have, and thats about it.

Will I need the t-top A pilar plastic? Where do the T-top locks go into, or is that part of the headliner?

the locks are part of the t-top, it goes into the bar you cut off, so i would think you'd need the t-top a pillar.
