I'm gonna buy that probably later today, and i was wondering if any of you guys have any opinions on it. Anyone on here done tinting themselves? My dad's lincoln forum is full of people that tinted themselves and it looks great. I figure since this is pre cut, it's that much easier. Wish me luck and suggestions are appriciated.
I do wish you the best of luck. It is not easy. I watched the guy that did mine, he used a heat gun to shrink the film as needed. He did the best tint job that I have ever seen on any of my cars.
Make sure the glass is 100% clean before applying the film, trust me.
hm, interesting. never saw/heard of that before,at least not ones that come pre-cut. definatly post results. good luck with it.

I bought a kit just like this from ebay a little over a year ago. The sides weren't too bad to do by myself, but good luck on the back window. Mine ended up getting so wrinkled that I had to thow it away. Besides that, the tint was of really high quility and is holding up great.
waste of money IMO. jus save 100-150 bucks and have it done by a "profesional". i got 5% all the way around minus windshield for 150bucks, took the guy like 20 min, made it look easy, but theres no way in hell id attempt it. especially the back window.

And a squeege or some sort to get the liquid out. And a heat gun/hair dryer if youve got one available.
My rear window is in 3 pieces (has 3 pieces of tint, but lined up right, so you cant tell, unless you were to peel it back)
Me and a friend tried to do my side windows this summer, lets say, it was horrible :P
Most of it was alright, but near the front, we had lots of line bubbles, and near the back also. I think most of the problem was my impatients that day, with the tint, and with my helper.
You are going to need more then one person to do it, and make sure you can work well with that person.
They sell rolls of window tint at home depot its cheap i wanna try that. Ill prob get a few of my friends to chip in and buy it, its only like 30 but u can do prob like 2-3 cars.
i worked at a detail shop this summer and the owner tinted windows too. he was pretty good and i learned a lot of the things he did and ive always wanted to try it but havent gotten the chance. there was this one thing he did where he put baby powder in his hand and blew it onto the outside glass instead of wetting it when making the cuts to help the film stick to the window while still allowing it to slide kinda like soap and water...
