Yesterday I drove through a deep pothole with my car and my front gfx got ripped off and all of the tape and glue that is still on there looks terrible so I am going to clean it up in the morning so it dosent look that bad until I get it fixed and molded on. Does anybody have any tips that will make the job easier? I was thinking of just using the blow drier and roll method but thats a pain. Is there something else that I can do that will make the job faster and not damage or dull the paint?
They sell stuff called goo-b-gon but it's a solvent so make sure you follow it up with a good wash and wax to remove it all. It works like a charm I used it to remove the stupid sticker they put on my car from the dealership. They have no respect for cars putting stickers all over it.

What store could I find it at.....hardware? Did it dull the shine of the paint any? LoL yeah I know I had a dealer sticker on mine to.
I'm not sure, I'm thinking hardware stores and probably walmart for sure they have everything. It may dull it a little but all you need is a little bit of the stuff it doesn't need to be saturated. Just wash and wax after doing it.

I used a bottle of 3M adhesive remover when I did mine and when I removed the side moldings. Stuff works real good.
Also, just a word of advice. I see you're planning on molding the kit, but I wouldn't suggest it IF you drive the car a lot. I looked into doing this as well for a long time, and just about every shop told me they wouldn't advise it unless it was mostly a show car. The body kits/gfx are still going to pull at the body of the car whether they are molded or not, but instead of coming apart where the tape was, it's going to crack the paint and go up further into the molded area since it's one piece now. Cauing you much more problems then the occasional 6 mo pull off and retape issues. I'm no expert on this, but just saying what many shops told me when I tried having it done.
I could be mistaken, but i think WD40 is good for that... dunno what effect it'll have on the paint tho. But i use it all the time to clean crap (mainly tape residue) off my knife.

Two sore thumbs later and a third of a bottle of goo gone and all the glue is off!!! Thanks for everyones help.

The main reason I wanted to get it molded on is because every 2 weeks it starts sagging and no matter what they do they cant get it to stop seperating and having the tape showing. They told me that they would use some seam sealer and then mold it on to keep it in place. I probably only drive it about 2 or three times a week so that shouldnt bad I would think. Thanks for the info.....Ill make sure to talk with the body shop and see what they think would be best to fix the problem.
