  • You'll like this...

I'm starting to get close to a happy point on the appearance of my car. Just got on my new 17X11/9.5 ZR1s with Sumitomo 315/35/17 and 275/40/17 tires. Add that to my T-top conversion and this car is starting to look pretty nice. (banana would go here, but I'm saving my images for pics heheh)

My buddy just got a new 2002 Mustang GT 5spd as well, so we figured we could take some pics together. Who's faster? Well we did a race skipping 2nd gear since mine is broken and I got the launch on him. Unfortunately his low end torque got him through 3rd faster after that and he had a few cars on me by 90. When I get 2nd again I'll be more of a problem for him....

    Well anyway, enjoy!
Sorry, I can't hotlink pics this big from putfile, you'll have to click on the pics to get the full versions.

The pictures look nice, you have a fine ride. I was curious, how much was it for t-tops? Did you do the work yourself, or have a shop do it?

I've always wished I would have looked around more to find a manual with t-tops, but I also didn't want them at the time because I knew 3 people with t-tops and they all leaked.

I was very lucky. A friend of mine bought a wrecked T/A for the engine and tranny and he gave me everything I needed to do the conversion. And yes, I did do the work myself. So, really, everything was free for me.

And my tops don't leak. I took care to make sure everything sealed up well.

And yes, the Mustang's fender gaps are huge compared to my gap w/ the 2" lowering springs. :p

                      Your car looks sweet!!

I think you should have gone with 275 tires instead 315 if you dont have any poweradder. Those meats will slow you down, but they look sexy as hell on there! Just my .02

What mods do you have in your car as far as power goes? I wouldn't think a 3.8 would even be a challenge for a v8, even with all the gears...

                          Here's my mod list.

                          Whisper Lid
                          Dual Ram air snorkels
                          Flowmaster catback exhaust
                          PaceSetter Headers
                          Catco 3" Cat
                          Custom 3" S-pipe
                          O2 Simulator
                          Poly transmission mount
                          Poly front enlinks
                          Pro 5.0 shifter + stick shortened 1.5"
                          SPEC Stage I clutch
                          Lightweight aluminum driveshaft
                          KYB AGX sport adjustable shocks
                          Hyperco Hypercoil lowering springs
                          Airhog filter
                          180* thermo
                          Walbro 255LPH fuel pump

And actually, I generally can take 5spd 99-04 GTs until 70ish. I'm a demon when it comes to launching and shifting though....that's actually why I've broke my 2nd tranny. :(
