Recommend tire sizes for 17' wheels

I need help with tire sizes for 17x8.5 front and 17x9.5 rear. They will be on 95 Camaro. What sizes I can use and what sizes YOU recommend?

I think one of the more popular combos would be a 245/45/17 front and 275/40/17 in the rear.

Are you guys running those on an 8.5" rim though? It is possible, but probably not ideal. Of couse I'm not sure if he already has his rims or not. I personally would prefer all the same wheel/tire

Minimum for 275 is a 9" rim.

Thank you for all suggestions, much is appreciated. Please remember that I have two different rim width, 17x8.8 front and 17x9.5 rear.

I have 255/45/17 on my 17X8.5 C6 rims. This is close to the same overall diameter as the stock 16's with 235/55/16 on them, so the speedo wont be off.
The 255s overall diameter: 26.03in (.53% faster reading)
The 235s overall diameter: 26.17in STOCK

Used 1010tires.com for this.

I run 275/40 on 17 X 9.5 ZO6 rims all around.

If you are going with the 17 x 8's do 245/40 up front and with 17 x 9.5's go with a 275/40.
