  • NBM guys....

first off... this thread is pure sex...

    http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showth...ght=nbm+camaro

either way, looking into switching up the appearance of my car some. I am going to go with red brake calipers... After seening a few cars in the thread its a nice offset.

as for wheels ATM I have painted camaro 5-stars... I am looking at a set of chrome Camaro 5-stars with decent tires for $200... And I do have a set of painted SS 10-spokes in my garage, but they need tires. I got these dirt cheap, but they do need tires, and I have been waiting but 275s are hard to get used. New looks like I will be spending $400-420 on tires.

Any suggestions are good. I am not willing to spend big money like a hood or a set of z06s...

what the car looks like now.

only difference is I have a 35th tail panel. Its NBM, but has silver raised Camaro fill ins(not bad for $5)

Well chrome definately looks good on NBM but good luck finding some rims
and tires for $200. If I were you I would either save up and put tires on the
10-spokes, or sell the 10-spokes and try to increase the rim fund.

      Re: NBM guys....

I came across 17" WS6 rims for $100...for all 4! I had to provide tire stems and tires, but it was worth it to me.

And NO...they aren't hot! A guy over at a Pontiac Dealer in NJ wanted to get rid of them because they were a return from a customer's 2001 T/A. Appearently, the customer wanted 16" rims...not 17", so he returned the car two days after buying it and wanted the rims switched. The 17" rims SAT in the dealers parts dept for about 2 years because the employee couldn't find a local buyer...until I came along:banana:

      Moral of the story;
Keep looking around. Somewhere, someone is selling a set of rims for a deal that can't be beat.:naughty:

Definitely put the SS rims on it, they will look better than chrome 5-spokes (if you're talking about the ones I'm thinking of.)

Get some decals that say 3800 or "Camaro" or something to put on the fenders in front of the doors. Chrome or silver inserts will look nice (i recommend silver if you go with the painted SS wheels.) Paint your calipers red or orange, something that really offsets the blue paint.

You need one of three things: a good wax job, a decent camera, or some photography skills, I'm not sure which. Did you swap for pre-98 tail lights?

i think the 10 spokes will make a huge difference. i know you don't want an exhaust, but maybe throw on an SS take-off and change the tips to some nice stainless ones. get a shorty antenna from ecklers, its only $20 and a nice subtle appearance mod. also if you can find a used SS spoiler, it will make a huge difference from the rear. other than those mods, i'd keep it the way it is. i know you want a nice "clean" looking car w/o any decals, hood, or gfx so i'd stick to those mods to make your car stand out a little more from the crowd.

LOL those are just some crappy pictures... and my camara is getting a little rough. I have to smack it to actually go from a black screen to showing something when I take pics.

I do have better pics around.

and yes I swapped in 93-96 tails in...

I was thinking of inserts on front camaro, I have them on the rear already(factory 35th style), the SS 10-spokes, red calipers.

Adam I have thought of going with a catback. Just looking for a dirt cheap(especially since I got my last one for my 3.4L for free ;) )

I am toying with the idea of a lt1 for cheap, so holding off, and the chrome rims.

I prefer the 10-spokes... but I was looking at a set of chrome camaro 5-stars for $200 with good tires, vs. having to buy tires for a set of SS rims.

I figure both and upgrade over my current setup, but money was an issue, and I got the wheels on my car for dirt cheap, only $200 with new yokohamas on them. And I needed tires ASAP.
