i tried and failed to fix my leaking tail light lens via the whistler mod approach. the lens was very flexible after taking it out of the oven, and the glue seemed melted too, but i pulled and only the white part of the lens came off...
Now, i need some kind of adhesive/sealant to put my tail light back together, and i can sand the excess glue off the lens and make it look better than before anyway..but should i use?
i put it back together with liquid nails but it looks like crap.. The part that should be black(the part i was repairing, because it wasn't black anyway) is now very bubbly and not attractive. I'm thinking i might just get it smooth and then get blackouts for them because all the tail lights i see are around $60. I can't afford that right now.
You put it in the oven? Wow, that's ballsie. I wouldn't have tried that. I burn pizza, the wife would kill me if there was a melted taillight in the oven.

BTW, you're out of cashews.
