i dont know. i bought my hood (the warbird hood, for a camaro) from a guy who said he bought it because it had more clearance than the stock hood, but it still didnt fit.
then a few other people have mentioned it. theres some trans am with a turbo driving around here, and the guy said it wouldnt fit without the bigass cowl.

so yeah, im not sure why, but there is something that interferes.

I think the 3 inch smooth cowl would look great especially if your car is black. The second one looks loke crap though.

go with the carbon fiber and paint it to match... but imo cowl hoods are played out. On muscle cars from older days it looks good, but our cars have so many curves the hood needs som style as well.

My car is black, so it would blend in without needing paint. I kind of like the look of raw CF too.
