Man I totally forgot about this thread. That is cool, any more pictures???? Especially any "build" pictures? Any problems with this setup? How hard would it be to do on a firebird? Does it swing out more like a door how it is doing in the picture or like aftermarket lambo hinges that go out and up? ANY more pictures especially any detailed explanation of what I do to do is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
i dont know how far it opens its only a show car he never drives it..........i know mine they machined a rod and curved a grove in it so when i open it, it comes all the way out the up to match the doors and the cap is in the same spot as his but mine is much more accessable if his doesnt open any more than that

Who is "they" and could you post some pictures of your setup? Also any explanation on what I need to do this too would be appreciated
Instead of making a new thread I figured I'd bump this...
How "sealed" is the gas cap as I was thinking of cutting an access area inside the trunk and just turn the gas filler neck then shave the door. It would be a pain in the *** to fill as I'd have to pop the trunk but still better than whatever I'd have to do for the tail light.
My only concern is would it leak gas/etc into the passenger area and would it be considered "illegal/not safe" at a track?
Well I would say if you smoke a gas cap in the car is not a good thing cause no no matter how careful you are you will spill gas and that is not good. And I think all the newer cars have vented Gas caps I think I maybe and likely am wrong but I personally would not put a gas filler in the cabin of the car.
its a cool mod for a show car, but if you have a daily driver, i think thats the dumbest thing ever.... do you really want to have to remove your tail light every time you want to fill up?
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
