Whats the colour of my car?

Need some help please, have a 95 firebird colour green metallic, but cos I live in Spain its got scratched (rather badly) and now she doesn't look so lovely. Where do I find the colour code cos want to respray the front but would really like it to match the rest of the car. Many thanks

There should be a paint code on one of the stickers on the drivers side door. Look for a...

37U- Bright Teal Metallic
48U- Polo Green Metallic
79U- Mystic Teal Metallic

I think, by the way you described it, it will be the 48U. Welcome to the board.

Probably because you said that it's green metallic and 48U is Polo green metallic?

make sure it's not repainted...my buddy's ended up being a Jeep Black or something from Chrysler

try taking a few pictures, members with that color car will be able to tell you what it is. OR you can take down your vin number and make a call to a GM dealership, they will be able to tell you.

Because that's the darker one. If it was one of the teal one's I think you would have decribed it as light green met. Especially if it was the mystic teal, you would have said purple-ish green-ish kinda weird-ish metalic.

id put money on it being yellow-green metallic. been discussed to no end in the past, but if its the deeper color green its yellow green metallic.

What code is that? I don't see a yellow green being darker than a polo green.

if you go to a dealership. i garuantee you they tell you its yellow green metallic. me and a buddy both had the color on our old 95s, between the both of us we probably checked 7-8 dealerships and they all told us the same thing.

its something thats been discussed at length on numerous fbody boards over the years.

Yeah, it's probably just what they wanted to call it that model year from Chevy. As long as the paint code is the same, you'll get the same color. Just a matter of semantics really, it is burgandy or maroon kinda thing.
