  • 15" Steelies on a '97 Camaro!

Here are a few pics of my car. Big plans for her but in the meantime she's pullin' through a second winter. What I wouldn't do for a garage to keep her in for the winter.

Yeah, I took off my chrome rims for the winter to get thinner tires that'll be maybe a bit grippier in the snow than my 245/50R16s. That and well, god forbid I slide a little and nick my rims, yikes! At least if I nick the steelies it doesn't matter, $5/piece was a good price!

That's what it looked like before, not bad for 150K miles?

Yes, those are steelies off an '89 Caprice haha. They fit fine with the 205/70R15 tires but I do wish I went with the 205/65R15s because they're super tall. I did get a 2.1 second 60' time on these suckers though haha.

She's a bit dirty in the second pics, first one I took right after waxing

Hey, never too late, unless of course you're lucky enough to have a beater and a place to store your ride ;)

The car looks badass when I wash it and wax it and polish up or repaint the steelies lol. Looks better than I thought it would anyway. I thoguht about getting the dog dishes for the centers just for sheets and giggles.

I think you should get the dog dishes for the center.. i know your not going for appearance, but i just can't stand the full black look. But yeah, it will do you better in the winter... You got the rims $5 a piece with or without tires?

I think i want to upgrade to some 5 point chromers..

haha, if I can find a set I'm definitely doing it. PRobably at the junkyard, I know the old caprice police cars had them with the cool little holes all around

it actually wouldn't be bad idea to get the dishes to prevent corrosion on the lugs and studs since they're exposed... plus it would look great!!

Polish 'em up all nice, it'd be a unique look on an F-body thats for sure :)
Never thought about their anti-corrosion properties though, good idea

haha, I think those spinners would stay on my car for about 20 minutes of driving if that, with my driving habits haha

Word 'a motha, dem spinnaz adds mad torque yo.

It would definitely be sleeper status to roll up next to a '97 mustang GT and rev at him, only to get him by a car length or two. Then when he asks what I got done to that V6, I'd respond, Dawg dem spinnaz be givin me 50 horsepowa a piece it makes ma whip into a 8 cylinda

Haha hell yeah, maybe keep 'em on for the summer and wrap 'em in some 235/60R15 bfgoodrich traction T/As with the white lettering, that'd look badass

i would definitely pick up some blingin spinners from walmart for ****s and giggles.

i feel like trying to find a place to store my wheels in the garage for the winter would do more damage than if i were to just leave em on the car.
