I noticed these at the autoparts store last time i was there. I was wondering if anyone had any experiance with them, are they any better than the normal silver stars?
does it have a bluish tint? ........ in the commercial it seemed like it had bluish tint to it .............. i haven't tried them but i'd love to ........... the one i have in my car have been really reliable ........ almost one year ............ if they burn out i'll deff try those ............ good find ..........
i have silverstar bulbs in my tailights but there not any brighter if not as bright as the original white bulbs...but thats in the tailights of my bird so...they turn amber too if its in a clear lens
I have silverstars and they are very nice. They have a purple-ish tint to them when the lights are on. They are VERY bright. I was comparing those to the ultras and there is no difference except that the Ultras have no color on the bottom of the bulb, which most likely allows for a little more light to shine through. A very nice upgrade to the lights.

Thats exactly what i was looking for about a year ago .......purple-ish tint ..........i looked everywhere from pepboys to autozone but no one could point me to the right direction .........so, i bought this Japanese pair which pretty reliable but it's a bit too blue-ish and output isn't what i expected it to be ........... shirl, post a pic of your car with the headlight on -- night time shot ............. so that way, we can compare the tint................here's mine ........
If they are 80W, did you do anything to the wiring harness to help with the extra voltage or just plug them in...no melting of wires or anything?
I just plugged them in .......... no melting/shorting so far ............. it's hard to tell what they are trying to say because it's in Japanese :( ....... i didn't had any problems .....
I would like to get those ultra's in my bird... but as i have heard people say that because of low demand sylvania didnt make them sealed for the fifth gen but they did for the fourth gen. Im looking for a brighter bulb cause i never ride with high beams (to much of a pain in the *** shifting with a manual and turning high beams off and on on back roads) so it will help me with my vision and well cause they look cool with their brighter tent. I have heard something about a conversion kit but i dont mess with any electrical stuff in my car, wont even touch my radio... i have always been like that since a time i grounded or wire wrong or something and melted it right to the car on my pops's 350 bird and never heard the end of it. Is there anything i can get maybe even cool blue bulbs for the look but i really would like to get the silverstar ultras somehow...
yeah... i'm looking into something brighter. My driver's side headlight went out yesterday i think. It's a good reason to improve the lights on my car.
Welcome future UK stars... Darius Miller, Deandre Liggins, Kevin Galloway, Josh Harrellson

:)
Just saw this. Mine are very subtle purple-ish. (the silverstars). I'd have to say they are a bright white but you see the purplish tint in the headlight housing which is a nice little touch. My car's away for the winter, so no night pics til it gets warm out. ;)

Today morning when i sat in my car, my body was shaking violently in cold........i thought my hearts gonna explode...........it's like 10 degrees outside .......burrrr.........i do feel sorry for any f-body owner with leather in winter ........ my previous camaro had leather and lets just say, sometimes my as* was still frozen even after 15 minutes of being inside a building ........ ;) .........
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
