I think it would look better if they were positioned further out from the license plate.

I've wondered about the same thing... SLP makes a center mount setup that is kind of flush but more of a cut out under the license plate... I'm half way considering doing bumper cutouts in a faux mustang gt style in order to save my tips from being crushed by all the dips and speed bumps around here... but I haven't seen anyone that's done anything like that either...

there was a guy who did that, but he brought the tips out on the 'berger panel' it looked really nice.

That chop doesnt look bad.. i think the biggest deal would be cutting out the holes, then worrying about the heat from your exhaust deforming the paint or plastic

Yeah, go ahead and do it if you want black char marks all around the pipes on your bumper

                        Re: flush mount tips?

I definately like the way that looks. I changed my exhaust routing around tonight and ran a Dual Chrome tip directly beneath my license plate. I think it looks good. Only thing I'm worried about with your setup, like previously stated, is the heat transfer. It will more than likely deform your rear bumper. I'd love to see you do this setup, but would hate for you to ruin a bumper and have to spend the money for another one, then painting. Up to you though man, do whatever suits you...

i actually kind of like the way that looks, but it probably wouldn't work out too well with getting hot and messing up the paint and all...too bad..
