here's what I did for my hood -- since I'm too cheap to get a fiberglass SS or cowl or other full hood, I went with reproduction hood-blisters from the 91-92 Z28. I got them from Hawk's 3rd gen parts...

What I learned -- the scoops are intended for use on a flat hood... though the curve downward on 4th gen hoods is slight, it's enough that when mounted, the scoops aren't exactly flush towards the back of the hood (i.e. there is a slight gap).

Stubbornly, I tightened down hard on the bolts. And while that did do away with the gap, in a very short time the scoops developed small stress cracks at their bottom edges, towards the middle of the scoops. In a couple of days (depending on weather) I'll post more pictures of what I'm talking about.

I still say do the whistler mod, or halos, but whistler is definitely cheaper.

yea im not a fan of the tsp exhaust. im not sure what his setup will be right now. something not loud and annoying. i think the headlights look good, i dont think he (we) will do the whistler or halos either. he just needs to get that nose emblem and maybe some kind of grill. who knows.
