    SS emblems

    I'm getting my hood/front clip repainted and the guy said that he had an SS nose emblem he would put on for free. I searched but it appears that SS's have the same badge as non-SS's. Anyone know if there is a SS badge at all?

    also, i was just going to have him paint the emblem black along with the front bowtie to match my blacked out turns. SS or black?

    Do you have the LS1 motor? If not then why the hell would you want to pretend? You car looks great the way it is don't crap it up with a bunch of fake badges. Just my opinion.

      If your car is not an SS, then don't put it on.

          The emblem might be "SS" as in "Stainless Steel." Maybe one of the pics below.

          Also what does having a LS1 have to do with that? LT1's had SS models.

            My bad then, I thought that was only on the LS1's and the Z28 applied to LT1's. I guess that wouldve been too simple.

              speaking 4th gens, Z28s were available from 93-02, and SSs which were mostly Z28s with ram air and a different exhaust and spoiler were available in 96-02.

              LT1s were 93-97, and LS1s 98-02

                yea...I was leaning for the black out, I think that would look good...

                I'm not trying to pull a ricer move and pretend my car is an SS...I had never seen an SS badge and didn't know if it said 'SS' on it
