You're not being mean, but if you read the original post you would know that I'm driving 5000 miles round trip. I have no problem paying for gas on a regular basis. I'm a college student and because I work I can afford two cars, Camaro and beater. I just thought a long trip would be a good way to tinker with certain aspects of the car that could improve MPG. Maybe I enjoy conserving energy or trying to reduce emmissions...what a crazy thought!
Re: improved fuel efficiency with 93-97 headlight covers?
if you're driving along down the highway and you've done something to your car to reduce your consumption of fuel, it doesn't take a genius to see that you'll have less emissions than the guy driving next to you with no modifications. Why is everyone having so much trouble with this topic? Its really not that complicated.
Re: improved fuel efficiency with 93-97 headlight covers?
and yes...please lock this!!! I had no idea headlight covers were going to be so controversial for some of the people who have contributed to this thread otherwise I never would have asked the very simple question.
Re: improved fuel efficiency with 93-97 headlight covers?
Aerodynamics of a car cant be determinded by watching your gas gauge, or by a sotp dyno. There are way too many variables too determine something so insignificant.
Take the whole rear gate on the truck up/down argument. Many would think that liftgate up would produce more drag, but in fact gate up creates a pillow or air in most truck beds that lets air flow right over producing better aerodynamics and significantly better milage.
This question was vaid, and i appreciate those who gave constructive advice/commentary much more than those who came in to BS.
