My dad used wrigleys bleach white on the paint of my car because im car is white and it makes the car look real good, but i just got the hood and front clip of the car painted and it shines really good and i don't want to ruin the shine. Does anyone know if i could keep using the bleach white or will it ruin the paint?
^X2! I wouldn't use that at all. Bleach will strip any wax that is on the paint, and quite possibly dig it's way through the clearcoat. Get a good quality wax on the paint and the shine should stick around for a while.
Are you talking about the stuff they sell for white walls?? if so it's nothing but very strong corrosive acids...in other words, stop using it on your car...if your paint gets really bad you can use some mineral spirits or even xylen as an easy way to bring it back to life..but my white stipes have been on my car for 3-4 years now, and I've only dont it once, as said it's not good for the clear..you need to get some wax on that car ASAP and start using elbow grease to get it shiny white...if you keep using that stuff you will eventually need to re-clear the whole car.
Wow, do not keep using that stuff on your car. It's definately eating away at your paint. It even says in on the bottle. (There are so many warnings on that stuff..)
Use it to clean your tires, but thats it. And don't get it on your rims either.
I looked down at my jeans after they came out of the washer/dryer... there are BIG holes all in them from bleach ( I didnt even put bleach in there). Never knew it was so corrosive. Dont think clear coat is as strong as jeans.
