painting around whisper lid

I was wondering would there be a problem if I was to paint around my whisper lid its the black part that the whisper lis rest on. I just don't want to have smoke come from under my hood while driving for long periods of time.

Have anyone else did this

You talking about the black plastic radiator support?
If so, yeah you can paint it.

yea you can paint it. personally, ive seen it done silver and hugger orange and both looked horrible.

I was thinking about doing it black the color it already is but with real paint not spray paint because I think it would hold better

Krylon paint works wonders. Was the only paint I could find that stays on plastic, just don't over-do it, or else you'll have runs and it won't stick. Lots of light coats is the way to go. I did mine red. I'll see if I can post some pics sometime.

yeah post pictures I have some krylon fusion right now
