Yet another color combo question.... Stripes

Hi all,

I have a Purple 96 Camaro that I want to dress up. I've been thinking about adding stripes and have yet to see any purple Camaros with strips.

I think Pewter would look good but I've no found a source for them....

Anyone have some ideas that would look good?

i have seen black strips on purple and it looks good or if you wanted something new and unseen a dark blue might look really good. there is my .02 cents

without the pics i'm gonna suggest silver, but pewter sounds good too.

I will suggest silver. Silver should look really sharp and stand out nicely.

White... or maybe a light purple.

[$00.02=Mark]Wow... did all you guys fail art or something? Don't listen to them. Unless you want your car to look like the gayest thing since Graham Norton (ie: Silver or Pewter, but esp. light purple [also known as pink]) you've got to go with white. Yellow is actually Purple's complimentary color and would go with purple really well (look at the Minnesota Vikings)... but on a car purple and yellow might be a bit much, so go with white. Black's not really much of an option, because i know that the purple that camaros were painted is kind of dark, and dark stripes on a dark car are pointless.[/$00.02]

In my opinion purple is a hard color to stripe, that's why you don't see many. I would just leave it without stripes, and add tint on the windows.

Yeah, you could black it out (called murdered out in the hood )

But the best suggestion so far has been white. White would look good. Gold might look good also.

Interesting! I thought about Yellow and then I thought about the Corvette Pace car that was purple with yellow. That car to me was kinda ugly.

I'll post up some pics of my car this weekend as I haven't had a chance to do it yet. Just got the car on the 8th of this month!

I'm looking at getting chrome zr1 rims so maybe that will narrow the decision a bit...
