Not SUPPOSEDLY (I say this because i have it on my tail lights, so does the 3.4, both lights light up perfectly fine, never been harassed at all.)
Yes, VHT Niteshades is applied to the outside.
Why would you want to use it on your headlights? I'm sure it can be used, but it seems like an extremely dumb idea which should probably just be dropped
so are nightshades brighter then blackout covers as far as letting the lights shine thru? i want to know this cuz i mite do this to my 83 instead of pay 100$ for covers...

Thank you for phrasing and following thru on my earlier questions re VHT, as I suppose I could not make myself understood. I had hoped to save $$ too, as well as dodge an ugly cover job...
No big deal perhaps; if my OEMs still cant pass MD Insp, i'll by halos, I reckon.

That will depend on how many coats you put on. IMO, Niteshades > covers, but thats just me maybe. I can tell you that on both F-bodies in my driveway, you can see the tail lights perfectly fine at anytime

I just got my signals in the mail today. All of the lenses do come with the mounting tabs like stock. They look pretty good, he even threw in free orange bulbs for the fronts and red and orange bulbs for the rears. I just have to seal them with some silicone and find some time to install them. It just snowed 3" last night. Ggggrrrrrrrr.
i bought the "rear smoke signals" for my 01 bird and they turned out to be for the front. Apparently our rear ones are like an inch longer than the front ones. Anyone know where i can find the longer rear markers in smoke besides nightshading them?
Good luck.
I ordered halo headlites for my Camaro from Ace700 via Ebay2+ weeks ago, and and am still waiting. They are no longer an Ebay store, neither.
