Hey all, just curious, with so many places available, does anyone know from experience which ones are rated highly? I was thinking of going with http://www.ramairhood.com, but wanted to find out anything first!

Yes, it is true allot of the aftermarket hoods are good quality which look great. The only problem is that most are NOT functional. The OEM is quite a bit more expensive if you buy it new, but a nice used one from Ebay will cost about the same as a new aftermarket one. I was lucky and had mine replaced after a minor car accident that damaged my old hood....what a shame...hahaha!! I put it on as a cosmetic upgrade, but I have seen a huge improvement in the performance of my V-6 without changing anything from the stock setup. I didn't know it would effect my performance without changing to a Ram Air or a cold air intake, but it did and a very noticable HP gain. So my 2 cents is get an OEM hood if you can.

VFN hoods are the closest to OEM and are fully functional. You will need to buy the ws6 airbox to go with the hood to make it functionla, however.

Just curious, what do you guys think of www.ramairhood.com?

They look pretty nice, but there looks to be a price difference between them and VFN, so just wanted to find out what you guys think?
