Hello, was just curious if it is possible to take the front end of a trans am and put it on a the firebird? would this be hard? I think it looks a bit better, and the placement of the fog lights is better. Here is a link where to buy one:
Lots of people have done this. Yes it will be fine for a 98 the fascia itself will bolt right up.
You are probably better off getting one locally from a junk yard. You won't have to worry about shipping, it will be cheaper and you may be able to get it the correct color.
Very easy to do but IMHO the firebird/formula one looks better.

I thought about doing this as well. But, I assure you once you put on the front you will want the side skirts and rear bumper to match. Dont forget all the lights to go with it and maybe some paint. Even if you get good prices you are probably looking at a grand to do everything not to mention the etra weight you will be putting on the car.....its not much since the bumpers and lights weigh about the same, but the side skirts is unneeded weight IMO. I also have the Firebird V-6 front end and with the Ram air hood, I actually like it better than the T/A front end, mainly because the fog lights look better at night wide apart than close together.....but then again that is my opinion. If you just want to make it a little lower to the ground, wings west makes an awesome ground effects kit and sell the front nose kit seperately if you want to only add that.
i have a question..i that the curved sideskirt (if even that..) was welded onto the main body underneath.. so if i wanted the w68 skirts put on there.. i would have to use that torch to take it off?
