overlays are vinyls that go over the "firebird" on the side of the car, pick your color.

Check out Phoenix Graphix, they have some really cool vinyl kits. I got the Gold 25th Anniversary Stripes for my car. Improved the looks 100% and they were fairly easy to put on.

nice, i know where glassboro is!

yeah, overlays just go over the "firebird" on the side, you can get em for the bird in the front, or the "pontiac" on the headlight.

You're going to save up for a trans am just because your car has no side skirts?? I think getting side skirts would be a helluva lot cheaper than getting a trans am. Not to say you shouldn't, I'd take the trans am too, but if that's your reasoning, there are plenty of styling options out there..

                  Re: My new car

I notice that there are some imperfections (i guess you could call them) on the spoiler of my car. I'm not sure what cause them, or what they are. They aren't scratches and its nothing that I can wash off. It almost seems like it is part of the paint, but I don't like those marks. Here are pictures.

Anyone know how I could get rid of them? My Dad bought some ScratchOut stuff and like turtle wax stuff and it didn't do anything.

                  Thanks

Thats kinda what I thought it looked like but didnt wanna say. Is there anything that can fix that? Im afraid to put touch up paint on it cause I dont think it will look right.

                          Re: My new car

Get a clay bar from Autozone and try that on the spoiler. If you have stuff on your paint that can come off, claybar will take it off.

                              Re: My new car

                              start by washing your entirely

Use a clay bar on those white spots first (make sure that use use a lub with it, I just use dove soap in water cause it is slip, gentle, and it is not a grease cutter) If that doesn't work try buffing,If the buffer doesn't take them out you can try to color sand

for minor scratches heavy compound and a rotary buffy will probably take them out, a random orbit buffer probably wont be strong enough (they are more for waxing. Your buffer should be rotating between 1500-2200rpms, anything higher could heat the paint too much and cause damage.

then to touch up chipped paint, use a "nik sander" (looks like a pen but has fine grit sand paper on the end) to sand the chip smooth, then tape the surrounding area so you can only see the paintless spot, use the brush on your touch up paint to aply multiple layers off paint, build it up so it is well above the surface of the rest of your car. Allow it 24 to 48 hours to dry and cure then remove the tape and color sand it down so it is even with thesurrounding paint, now you just need to buff it with a heavy compound, followed by a light cut or a glaze, then finish by putting a wax on the entire car. Oh yeah shake your paint up until your arms give out first.
I hope that helps, if you have any other questions just ask
K&N air filter, Whisper air lid, magnaflow LT1 cat back, and magnaflow high flow cat, pacesetter headers, silverstars

more to come soon
but for now im out of money
