hey pat come to philly saturday. we can take some spring pics!!! this is the first sat in a long time i dont' have nething really to do. so i will be waxing my girl all up! call me
hey man i really love the wheels did you paint them yourself or did you buy them painted, if you dont mind could you send me the details of how you painted them to tiresmoke76@aol.com , ive been looking to get a new set of 16's instead of my salad shooters and i think they would look awsome blacked out
76 Camaro Rally Sport-355/TH350- Soon to be LT1/TH350 with a little laughing gas to wake it up...;)
89 Ram D350 CTD/M5- 1 Ton Dually getting 27 MPG's
Camarorulz - i tryed a bunch of different settings on the camera, and i still cant get it to not flash. my mom is looking for the manual. it ruined a few pics i know.
Fireball27 - yes, my name is pat. i did sand it, but only with 800 grit to get some of the clear coat off, i just used the stock base coat as primer so to speak. usually id put more effort into it, but no one see's it anyway. i didnt use primer, just gloss black, and i didnt even bother to clear coat it, i was worryed it'd be too shiney and draw attention to it. flat black might be best honestly. as for the light, you guys complained about the driveway pics, so i went out after i ate dinner, it was getting dark. i dont like the wheels either to be perfectly honest, but i like them black more than stock silver, and im more worryed about performance than appereance at the moment. some day ill get rims, im thinking black zr1's with a polished lip.
kristen - i'll call later, maybe ill be able to come down, i dont think im doing anything. did you get your lid yet?
ninety4three4 - yep i painted them myself. im going to re-spray them when it gets a little nicer out, i never wetsanded them and they need it, and they have some rock chips now, so im going to re-do them. as for how i painted them, i didnt do anything specal. but here :
1.removed stock paint
2.primer, then sand
3.more primer, mare sanding
4.base coat, sanding
5.more base coat
6.top coat
7.clearcoat
8.polished the lip ( i should mave done that first, then just masked it off )
