How do you intend to disable the airbag?

modify the plastic spring stopper thing by cutting it down to about 1/8th the original size.. then run the wire(s) through the hole in the hub. the hub itself acts as ground.

ended up going for the momo commando r

and here's what you do to trick the airbag diagnostic into thinking the driver airbag is still there...

4 10ohm resistors in parallel (or 5 10ohm resistors, or you could use a 2ohm.. due to the variance, its better to have extra resistors lying around). so passenger side airbag will deploy as normal like when tapping a curb at 5mph or whatever.

Do you have any info on the hub adapter that you used? Part # or where you purchased it?

Thanks, I think it looks great and now I want one.

                  Re: steering wheels

the hub that momo sells (what i purchased initially) can be had for around $60 and found at thunder racing
                  http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...gories&pcid=78

the part number is 73-2401 but you'll find that it has some clearance issues which require you to not tighten the bolt down all the way.

thunder racing sells 73-2401-F for $90 which is machined for the clearance problems and for that extra $30, it is an absolute must unless you want your signals to activate and like the sound of plastic grinding every time you turn the wheel.

get the resistors at radioshack for $2-$3 for the airbag, $15 steering puller at kragen... and the airbag (which has to be removed before you can get to the nut to pull the steering wheel - be sure to disconnect the battery to avoid the chance of the airbag breaking your neck while you're removing it) is held on by torx screws on the back.

                      Re: steering wheels

Your wheel looks great. I am really glad that you told me where to get the proper hub. I tried to install a Grant wheel and hub a few months back but it rubbed really bad on the column.

I think I am going to go with the Momo Jet wheel. Any opinions.

My second choice is the MOMO Competition.

Third choice is the Momo Prototipo (I think I have decided no to this one)

I'd go with the Momo Competition. Keep it simple, keep it clean.
