  • Dashboard oddity

I have searched the forums and have seen that a lot of prople have quite the dislike for armor all and what it may or may not do to your plastic. Nothing I've seen really answers my question. There is a small part of my dash that is right above the vents in the center that doesn't shine when I armor all my interior. It's like that portion of the plastic rejects the armor all. I tried cleaning it with soap and water to remove anything that might be causing this and tried to re-apply and still the same result. Could the armor all have done this? I"ll switch to another protectant if necessary but this is just really weird.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. When I apply a different type of plastic detailer should I remove the armor all first or just go over it with the new stuff?

Interesting, I've always used armorall wipes and never had a problem. I'll keep an eye out next time I wipe down my interior.

                    Re: Dashboard oddity

Armor All has a rep for drying out plastic over a period of time which leads to cracking.

I use 303 because it does a good job of protecting the plastic and I hate the greasey shine that products like armor all leave behind.

yeah, but they claim to have changed their formula. 303 is great stuff though.

Before you bash this, just try it.... Just try it.

Use a little bit of Vaseline w/a terry cloth towel. Not a bunch, but a little. I used that instead of Armor All and loved it. Never dried out, either.

I like NXT generation intreior polish made by Meguires. It shines hella more than Armoral and it smells better, lol.

You're the second person that's told me that this week (I've been on an armor all bash streak). Either way, I still don't like the shine and greasy feel after using it.

I love the smell of Mequires product :excited:
