'cause I'm looking for true projectors so I can run HID lights. I will not go HID on factory optics...must be projectors.

Many of the Asian marketers on E-gay will state that their 'projectors' come with 9005/6 halogen but can be 'converted' to HID with a ballast kit.
If you have a trusted HID source, use it.

why exactly?? I have hid's on factory lights and they work just fine...if you want real projectors your gonna have to buy them and jury rig them into your stock headlights.

It's my opinion that HID bulbs used in conjunction with optics intended for standard bulbs sometimes don't control the vertical spill well enough for my liking. It a few cases, I've noted the intensity of the light near the front of the car has been way too bright, causing one's pupil to close more and actually hurting lighting performance. I'm not sure what the characteristics of the Camaro's optics are, but I don't feel like experimenting with my money.

I thought I saw a lens on the low beam of these lights though.

Yeah, I see what you mean. The housing is very shallow and HID bulbs are long. Oh well, I guess Silver Stars will have to do.

                              thats not a projector...just looks like one...projectors are $$$

and I have no probs with my HID setup, not blinding at all...well to the other drivers it is, but not me.

So they are blinding to oncoming drivers then?
