Is there not a custom b&m or hurst shifter for automatic cars?
    (1999 firebird)
I had a 1988 Camaro convertable, and had a b&m that was made for that year/style camro, matched up to console ect...

The shift boot looks cool imo as well...although I think you would hae to be EXTREMELY bored to go in your car, and cut the stalk on your shifter...what is the reason/purpose in that? Does it make it go faster?

                        Re: No custom auto shifter?

I cut mine down and put an aftermarket leather T handle on... I didn't like the height of the stock shifter at all. It's WAY to high.

I'll try and get a pic when I can.

Eventually I'm going to get a adapter to allow the use of a manaual shift knob. That will allow an endless amount of choices.

                        Adapter here:

I like the idea of that C5 adapter ^ , but what do you do to change from park to drive, etc. instead of pushing in the button??

Judging from the spring I would guess that you push down on the whole knob.

He's correct, you push the entire knob down to shift. I just haven't found an aftermarket knob I like yet, the aftermarket automatic knobs leave a lot to be desired.
