  • Quick Night Shade question

How many coats of VHT Night Shade do you guys suggest I put on my turn signals?

I searched and didnt find anything for turn signals, just tail lights. :)

    TIA

Clear corners would not look as good with my black/white theme.

When you hit your brakes, doesn't this dim the light?

just google it and get a can online. I did and paid like $4 for it to my door. I did 3 on my turnsignals and 2 on my tails (wanted tails abit lighter since they're altezzas). Turned out nice, but don't forget to clear coat one you're done :D Otherwise it looks orange peely most of the time.

ok thanks, and do you spray the inside or outside of the light? and also is there any prep work? or just make sure its clean? and what kind of clear coat?

                            Re: Quick Night Shade question

I sprayed the outside, but I've heard of people pulling them apart and spraying the inside, I guess so they don't get scuffed up and stuff, but o well. Mine came out pretty good. They do have blemishes from my lack of paint skills, but they're only visable up close. And any kind of clearcoat should do. I'm sure people have preferrences, I personally used DupliColor from Wal-Mart. Just make sure they're clean, I wash and dry mine in the sink before I paint. Make sure you have some fine grit sandpaper to fix any screw ups you may make (I thought I had some, but it wasn't fine enough and didn't help any). I usually do one coat, go spray the other lense. Wait about 2-3 minutes for them both to tack up, then go and spray the next coat. If I see any runs or anything, I let them dry another 5 min or so and then wet send them down and redo the last coat. Once I get them dark enough, I put a coat of clear down, again 2-3 minutes after the last coat.
