Re: License plate laws
A friend of mine got a ticket for no front plate when we were driving from Dallas up to Wichita Falls. Texas state law says that if the car came with a bracket for a front plate, you must have one. It's usually not enforced, but if the cop pulls you over for it, you will get a ticket.

Re: License plate laws
When I did a consulting job in 93 in TX, they required both front and back. I got stopped even with my out of state plate. Virgina only had a rear plate.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

Re: License plate laws
In the windshield is not a legal place for the plates and would probably get you pulled over quicker than no front plate. The reasoning is that it would fly around in a crash and potentially kill someone that might have survived otherwise.
