My bro has a couple spare PW motors and said he would give them to me. Is the wiring already in the doors or do I need to wire the motors to the switchs to the fuses?
Can I "simply" bolt, plug, and play...Though nothing is ever as simple as it my seem on this car, but I still love her.
No, but I was told that the wires should be there. The tracks are the same and the holes should be there. I just would like to avoid having to wire my own wiring if I could help it.
Why not just pull your door apart and see if the wiring and all for the switches is there? If it is, I'm sure the wire for the motor would be there as well. Just pop off the peice where the switches go by grabbing and pulling. Look down and see if you see the wires, if not you may have some wiring to do, or they may be hidden.
that wierd that the wire are not there, maybe there stuffed in the dash somewhere. Kindof like the power seats, if you got manual seat the wires are there to hook up a power seat.

No, there not in the dash. I've had the bottom of the dash apart many times and never seen extra wires. I guess I'll have to wire it up my self thanks guys.
If you go with the factory power window motors, chances are you will need the harness that belongs in the car.
Also, im not sure if anyone on this board has any experience with aftermarket PW motors, but they arent very good at all ( on small windows ) I cant imagine them on the big heavy F-body windows.
They need to be oiled often, and arent very strong... slow etc...
My bros got a couple extra from his 00 Z that are good. So I'm just going to put those in I have switchs and everything else...I'll make a list and go to the junk yard later in the week.
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
