but really what good is this thread? if theres somthing someone wants and likes on whatever car they have there gonna put it on there car...IMO theres nothing wrong with painted rims as long as they look good. frankly i dont shive a git what everyone else thinks looks good and doesnt... my neons i used to have got way more compliments then my car did w/out them so i dont care anymore :)

Its just for fun really. If you want a "reason" for it then fine:
People come in here all the time, and post pictures of their cars and say "here's my car, what do you think? Heres what i've already done ______ what do you think i should do next?" or something to that extent. Now theres a billion threads in here where people have posted their cars, some look good, some don't, some look amazing, the point is it would take a long while to go through all these and pick out what you like and then research to see where to get this stuff (or in the case of most new people, just post a thread). OR alternatively you could just click on one thread that basically tells you what appearance mods are cool and what to stay away from.
I don't care if people use this as such or just read it cuz they're bored, but if the thread needs to be here to "do good", to serve a purpose, then that would be it right there. I also know there are stickies that have a lot of good info in them.. but nothing like this so to speak.
Oh and it is a person's choice as to what their car looks like as you say, but if they come in asking for opinions (and almost everyone does)... well its all right here. Theres no point pretending that people (or even yourself) don't care about what everyone else thinks... thats the entire point of posting pics of your car in this forum. Thats pretty much the entire point of modifying the appearance of your car to begin with: To make it stand out from the crowd in a positive way so that people will notice and say "oo nice car".
u know its funny thats what lots of people said about my car when i had my underglow...but now that i dont have it anymore well i dont get told that anymore... whats weird is how so many people outside this forum likes stuff like that on any car but when i joined i was shocked about how much of a tough crowd this forum is to please.
mine was done right too after i took the side 1's off
it looked like crap, you could see the tubes and all... It wasnt done right & Underglow doesnt belong on our cars.
If thats what you want, then dont try and " please us " and do what you want.
But if the majority of people on the forum say it looks bad... then chances are, it does.
