  • Cheap fixes.

Here are my cheap, half-assed fixes that my dad and i did on my car tonight.

Obviously nothing is perfect, it was just the cost of some rubbing compound and spray paint, which we already had, so it was free.

Looks a ton better than before, and i still need to wash the car, as i haven't since the wreck.

Good job i say. Although the pictures are a bit blurry so that might make it look better than it is?

yeah the pictures are blurry. i tried using the flash, but the car is so dirty nothing looked even remotely good and it looked much worse than it is. So with the sun going down and the slow shutter speed, the pics aren't perfect. I'll wash it and post again if it's nice tomorrow

Yea.. i hate flash at night. All it does is highlight the dirt in the wheel wells

can you get in behind that rear quarter panel and hammer out that big dint on the top by the spoiler? Other than that it doesnt look too bad.

It's not metal...it's like a fiberglass material or has a fiberglass layer or something

Really? I thought it was metal for the rear quarters. O well hope you get it all fixed up soon

maybe the outside is idk, my friend had a dent in his drivers side 1/4...and there was a layer of non-metal on the inside of it so we couldn't bash it out

                          Re: Cheap fixes.

you would be amazed how hard it is to get that quarter panel looking any better. I worked on getting some of the dents out for about half an hour with a dolly and hammer, and i will probably try again soon, but there is no way i can get the lines right. Plus it's in a bad spot and the metal is extremely difficult to punch out.

But yeah, it's just metal, i got a few dents out prior to the wreck with just a hammer and it worked ok.
