  • Can you fit a double din in a camaro?

I am hoping that I will get some money to replace the in dash tv/dvd that just got stolen but either way I will be needing something new so I just started looking and found this. http://cgi.ebay.com/KENWOOD-DNX7100-...QQcmdZViewItem
The only problem is that it is double din and I was wondering if it would be possible to put it in my camaro. If so what would need to be done to get it to work.

    Thanks

i've wondered as well.. I think it will fit but you won't be able to get the plastic trim back over the headunit.

Do you have any pics or know anyone that has done it so I could ask them some questions?

Yes you can. I've heard that it's been done and looked crappy, but when I did it, it looked fine by my standards. I just had to take about a 1/4 inch out of the bottom of the stock radio bezel, and just a hair of the top. I did have a problem with it sticking out further than I liked, and I dremmeled out some of the dash behind where the stock radio was. There's a W looking thing back there that needed some trimming. Also, I had planned on putting some filler on the sides, because of the aftermarket unit being flat on the sides and the inside of the dash bezel were curved. I never got to that because of it getting stolen.

It was a Kenwood and had a tape and cd player on it, that needed the face to flip down to get to them, it

I didn't get any pictures before it was stolen, so sorry.

Also, I bought an extra radio bezel off of ebay to play with, just in case I took too much off the top or the bottom, I would have another handy. That is what I was going to use for the side filler, as it's the same texture.

            Any questions let me know
