hatch lid

just got the camaro, and the trunk closes to where it can not be opened again with out a key, but there is a good sized gap and its not closing right. heres a pic, any ideas on what to do?

most things do line up, but i can fit my fingers under my hatch and the back of the car. almost my whole fingers

is the hatch making contact with the weatherstripping?

wierd that its lined up but such a huge gap...my car doesnt have that...have u tried looking at the stoppers on the inside of the hatch? it might not be screwed in enough to where its keeping it from going down further, my 96 did this b4 i checked the rubber stoppers on the inside. scrwed them in and the hatch shut better.

gap looks even. looks fine to me. I can fit the end of my fingers in the gap too. Check the stoppers if you think it's not closing right but it looks fine to me.

fixed the massive gap. just moved the whole actual latch down quite a bit and now its perfect
