    Re: Gauge Help

i have those, they are nice.

there should be 4 screws if u search around your dash enough.
then just pull it out, carefully pull out the gauge needles
just be patient and careful, im sure u can figure it out

And paint the base of the needles white while you have them off. IMO it looks alot better.

          Re: Gauge Help

Maybe mine is different, but I painted the base of mine white. The little round part that the orange needle comes out of. I just used some blue painters tape and some gloss white rattle can.

I didn't like having a black base on the white face gauges. I took mine off twice, and wish I would have thought about it before I put it back together.

Check out the picture on my site... http://www.scfba.net/rt1.htm

                Re: Gauge Help

I'm not sure, but make sure you get the one that is for the V6. I know my speedo only went to 115. I bought a Z28 cluster to get it to 150. I don't know what the later years of V6 F-bodies had for max speed on their speedo.

                  well ok?

                  question for you.
I was wondering if i wanted a speedometer that read higher than 120.

how would i go about that?
i mean could i just not buy one that read to 150?

or would that not read out right?

                    Any idea?

would a 1997 camaro speedometer gauge that reads 150. same format as my camaro.

                    would that read correctly?

                        Re: Gauge Help

the gauges will still be reading correctly for your stock cluster, but the overlay's numbers are off to compensate for the higher speed readings, so the speedo won't be accurate
