scratched headlights

while I was washing my 2000 camaro today I noticed that my scratched headlights looked somewhat clearer while wet. do u guys think that they would look better if I sprayed then with a clear coat?

sand them down, bigger grit paper prgressivly down to a VERY low grit, put a lil wax on them and they will be good as new

See my post about the whistler mod, I sanded down my headlights and have some before and afters...

I wetsanded with 600, 1000 and then 2000 grit sand paper, then polished with meg's scratchx

I did this procedure on my Minivan and used a buffer with the scratch-x. I used 1500 then 2000 grit though. They came out like new!
